Heavy Duty Apron Plate Feeders
To complement the capacity and strength of MMD Twin-Shaft Mineral Sizers, MMD Heavy Duty Apron Plate Feeders are designed to handle the high impact loads created from large ROM material directly dumped onto it. MMD plate feeders are often arranged beneath tipping points, where their combination of reliability and robustness have proven to give many years of trouble free operation.
MMD feeders are available in D4, D7, D9 and D11 configurations with either 1.5, 2, 3 or 4 metre widths respectively.
The MMD Apron Plate Feeder is constructed from a series of specially rolled steel plates bolted to 2 strands of heavy duty CaterpillarTM chain. Both the plates and chain are supported by CaterpillarTM rollers, which are in turn attached to a fully welded one piece steel frame. This design provides maximum strength throughout the entire feeder and optimal impact dissipation, to minimise the amount of supporting steelwork.

D4 HEAVY DUTY APRON PLATE FEEDER
The MMD D4 Apron Plate Feeder is the smallest feeder in the series. With its compact size and lightweight requiring minimal supporting steelwork it is ideally suited to the cramped conditions of underground applications and also provides an efficient and effective solution for surface and small mobile applications.
D7 HEAVY DUTY APRON PLATE FEEDER
The MMD D7 Apron Plate feeder is the most popular feeder manufactured by MMD, mainly because of its high capacity and strength. Mostly used in surface applications, it is suitable where large feed sizes are required or where the throughput rate is not suitable for a D4 feeder.
D9 HEAVY DUTY APRON PLATE FEEDER
Predominantly used in high volume surface applications the MMD D9 Apron Plate Feeder has been designed to accept exceptionally high impact forces in the loading area to allow large run-of-mine material to be directly dumped on to the plates whilst the unit is still running. Although it is one of the largest and heaviest feeders we manufacture, the D9 feeder has been utilised in high capacity mobile applications where capacities of over 10,000TPH of ROM material has been achieved.
D11 HEAVY DUTY APRON PLATE FEEDER
The MMD D11 Heavy Duty Apron Plate Feeder completes the MMD feeder line up by being the largest apron plate feeder MMD have designed to handle material sizes and volumes suitable for the most extreme mining operations.
